Naples, FL to Goodland, FL
Thursday,3 April had a visit with the owners of NELLIE D.,a 37 Ft Lord Nelson Victory Tug that was built a few months after OUR VILLA. It was very interesting to note the differences in our boats. In the afternoon we had a boat ride with friends from Plover and a cookout dinner.
Friday, 4 April, departed Pelican Isle Yacht Club at 0930 after a one hour walk and doing a load of laundry. The gulf had 3 to 4 foot waves and we took a lot of water on the deck and it shorted out the controls for the windless and the anchor went down all by itself when we were on the old ICW north of Marco Island. We are anchored near Goodland, FL at 1530 for the night. We only made 38 miles due to a lot of slow no wake areas. 82 degs at 1600 and sunny all day.
